Chilliwack, British Columbia - Checkered Flag Racing, in conjunction with Vemme Kart factory support, is pleased to announce the return of pilot Stepanova Nekeel.   The 2010 US Rotax Senior Grand National Champion will contest the 2012 Florida Winter Tour as well as select prestigious karting events with the Chilliwack, British Columbia-based team and Canadian importer of the Italian chassis line.

"As I always kept in touch with the factory and George (Fellner), I learned the factory was hard at work developing a new chassis designed specifically for the TaG engine platform," stated Nekeel in regards to his decision to return. "I decided to test the new chassis, and I can say that from the previous version, this chassis is a huge step forward."
As the Canadian importer for the Italian-made chassis, Checkered Flag Racing has enjoyed an influx of success in 2011. Team driver Kyoichi Tsutsui claimed Rotax Junior Vice-Champion honors in the Western Canadian Championship and will represent Canada at this year's Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals. Sara Brinkac claimed the Rotax Mini-Max title in the same series, and the addition of Nekeel to Checkered Flag's driver lineup is sure to solidify their national level efforts.

A privateer for many years, Nekeel has raced with multiple chassis brands and his commitment to the Vemme Kart is a testament to the development and technology of the chassis line. The two-time Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals Team USA driver has a storied history in the karting ranks, and will look to bring another championship title to the young brand.
